Emerging playwrights in south east London will see their work staged at the Brockley Jack Studio Theatre.
The theatre’s annual festival, Write Now, is in its sixth year and will showcase new writers with three full-length and seven short plays from May 9 to 30.
Olga Nikora’s rock paper scissors, about a pair of brothers who argue about everything except not wanting to be known as Romanian gypsy, was selected for a full production that will be directed by Kate Bannister between May 19 and 30.
Two more plays, Talking to Alice by Lucinda Burnett and Dog Country by Joseph Wilde, will receive staged readings.
The shorts, on the theme of ‘Lead Us’ will get an airing at two shows on May 9.
