A growing Greenwich Theatre-backed company is set to feature at the Southbank Centre.

Filament Theatre, one of the many fledgling companies supported by Greenwich Theatre over the past four years, is set to perform the free show Earth Makes No Sound as part of the Chorus festival on Saturday, April 3, at 7.45pm.

The company, led by founders Sabina Netherclift (director) and Osnat Schmool (composer) fuse multi-part harmony songs with physical theatre.

Last year, Greenwich Theatre hosted their acclaimed show MOMO.

In Earth Makes No Sound, they have reamed with a chorus, Goldsmiths Vocal Ensemble and the Roundhouse Choir to create a performance inspired by the changes happening to our planet.

As well as the performance, Filament will also host workshops at 11am and 2pm (tickets £8 or £4 concessions at southbankcentre.co.uk) on Saturday, April 3.

Director Sabina Netherclift said: “We are all very excited to be working on this project.

“It is inspiring to be able to combine these three groups of performers into one event, and we could not be happier that it will be free for people to attend.

“We have learnt so much as a company through our work with Greenwich Theatre – their support has made so much of our work possible, and now we really are looking forward to sharing our latest performance with as many people as possible.”
