An award-winning, thought provoking drama with comedy and a powerful finale opens in Erith tonight.
Orphans, the 1983 Lyle Kessler play which was made into a film by director Alan J Pakula, is at Erith Playhouse from tonight until Saturday, October 4.
It tells the story of two orphan brothers and what happens when one of them brings home a mysterious wealthy businessman.
During its first West End run in the 80s, Albert Finney picked up an Olivier Award for his part in it before going on to star in the film directed by the same man who was behind the camera for All the President’s Men and The Pelican Brief.
Performances are at 8pm from tonight (September 29) to Saturday (October 4). Tickets cost £8.50.
