A special stripy guest will be dropping by to tell some grrreat stories in Bromley this half term.

The star of The Churchill Theatre’s upcoming family production The Tiger Who Came to Tea will make appearances in the town centre on Wednesday June 6 to tell children his magical story.

He will be in Waterstones in The Glades at 11.45am and in McDonald’s in Market Square at 2pm.

Everyone is invited to come along and meet the friendliest tiger in town.

The Olivier award-nominated show is a delightful piece packed full of magic, sing-a-longs and chaos.

Join Sophie and her mummy as they sit down to tea and have an unexpected guest to cater for.

Based on the classic children’s book by Judith Kerr, the play has been adapted for the stage with songs and lyrics by David Wood OBE, who is undisputedly the country’s leading writer and director of plays and musicals for children.

His many successes include Shaun the Sheep, Fantastic Mr Fox, The Gingerbread Man, BFG, The Witches, Meg and Mog, Spot and Babe the Sheep Pig.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea runs at the theatre from Monday June 25 to Wednesday June 27.
