Multi-talented Simon Gross is not only a presenter and an actor but he runs a theatre production company in Chislehurst. Originally from Oxfordshire, he is now living in Beckenham.

- Who are you? My name is Simon Gross and I am a very young-looking 35-year-old. I'm an actor and presenter as well as the manager of SG Productions Ltd a company which takes popular shows to the sick, elderly and those with special needs.

- Where do you live and where are you from?

I live in Beckenham but was born in Banbury, in Oxfordshire, and raised on a farm in Souldern in Oxfordshire.

- How did you get into acting?

I then went to drama school in Burton upon Trent and took a three-year course in theatre and performing arts. It was based within in a theatre and we worked in an everyday theatre situation.

- What happened next?

I left college in 1987 and spent the first couple of months working in variety in a revue-style show. This gave me that all important Equity Card. The job consisted of dressing up in lots of unusual, colourful costumes. I've been a hula girl, panto dame, and many more. I've worked in theatre, pantomime, and television.

- What else have you been in?

Last year a short run in Singalonga Abba at the Whitehall Theatre in London's West End. I also had the pleasure of working with Gareth Hunt as Smee to his Captain Hook in the panto Peter Pan.

- What is your favourite play?

Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas, it is so brilliantly written, and the characters are so real, it is great to watch.

- Who is your favourite actor?

I like everybody. As long as they have energy and charisma I enjoy their work.

- What's next for 2004?

I have been invited to direct a new play/musical cabaret burlesque which will be coming to London later this year. (Gross will also appear in a top-secret new reality TV programme in the summer.)

- Hopes for the future?

My plans for the future are to be busy, busy, busy!
