BANG in the centre of Greenwich, snuggled up to the market and spitting distance to the Cutty Sark, locations for a boozer don't get much better.

The trouble is, such an attractive spot is bound to attract so many tourists that it will strip it of any character.

Well, you will be glad to know that's not so much the case here as the management have crammed The Admiral Hardy with attitude.

There are wall-to-wall indie music posters - as though a stall holder next door had a lot of stock to shift at a hefty discount one week - a feature fireplace and reassuringly expensive leather seating.

It is dimly lit and a slightly left of centre soundtrack blares out.

If PubSpy deigns to mention a bog, it is unlikely to come in a glowing write-up. Except here.

The loos are incredibly colourful with lacquered music posters and outrageous urinals that resemble an open mouth.

But don't think this is one of those painfully trendy bars. It serves proper beer and still looks like a pub through and through.

The clientele is broken up by a wealth of massive screens with football, giving it a matey, laddy edge.

My mate reckons they probably show Bridget Jones films when there's no football midweek to dissipate the testosterone.
