A PREGNANT woman is appealing for help in tracing her missing family dog.

Last Thursday (March 8) between 2pm and 2.30pm Lisa Jackson, of Foots Cray High Street, was hoovering her car and had left the front door slightly ajar.

When she returned indoors her four-year-old Shih Tzu, Harvey, was no where to be seen.

Miss Jackson said: "There are no witnesses but I'm pretty much certain he was stolen. He would never run away.

"On previous occasions he has come out and jumped in the car."

The 32-year-old believes Harvey might have come to the door or into the garden and someone grabbed him.

Miss Jackson, who has a nine-year-old son, said: "We are really up and down. I'm trying to focus on creating as much awareness as I can. We are devastated.

"Whether something happened to him or not, someone would have found him."

Harvey, who is microchipped, is described as a tan and toffee colour with a white chest, short clipped coat with his tail left long.

He was wearing a blue nylon collar with a tag bearing Miss Jackson's and a vets phone number.

Miss Jackson, who is 33-weeks pregnant, said: "My plea is for anyone that may have seen anything to please come forward.

"He may have been sold in a pub. Has anyone been offered a dog like this? Maybe they know someone who has recently acquired a dog of this description?"

She added: "I just know he will be really struggling to cope. He absolutely idolises me and follows me every where."

Bexley police confirmed the incident has been reported.
