A PET owner fears someone is driving around deliberately shooting cats after hers was seriously injured.
Natasha McPherson’s animal five-year-old Tigger could not walk and needed a four hour operation after being shot by an air rifle in his right shoulder.
She says the pellet fractured one of his bones and says he is lucky to have not needed to have the leg amputated.
Mrs McPherson, of Slades Drive, Chislehurst, said: “I think it may affect the way he walks for the rest of his life.
“He has pins holding things together in his shoulder and it is thanks to the expertise of the vet he managed to save Tigger’s leg.
“The most worrying thing is that it could be a child who gets shot next.”
Tigger is now making a recovery at his home but after hearing of the two cats shot in Hextable the day before her pet was attacked on January 11 Mrs McPherson thinks they could be connected.
The 43-year-old added: “First of all we thought it was a cat fight then on the x-ray we saw there was a bullet embedded.
“I hope it was a random attack rather than him being targeted.
“It could be a number of possibilities but because there have been attacks in a number of areas it makes you wonder whether people are driving round shooting cats.”
Anyone with any information about the shooting should call the police on 101.

1) shot by an air rifle - No shot by an air gun. No one witnessed the scum doing this so no one can confirm what type of air weapon was used.
2) The most worrying thing is that it could be a child who gets shot next.” - No, the most worrying thing is it could be any living thing next.
3) two cats shot in Hextable the day before her pet was attacked on January 11 Mrs McPherson thinks they could be connected. - Get the tin foil hat on. Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me. There are plenty of scum bags between Hextable and Chislehurst that have air guns, and that will shoot at animals. Driving around on the off chance of seeing a cat and no one being about so you can shoot from a car. Yeah right!
4) on the x-ray we saw there was a bullet embedded - Bullet ? If he was shoot with a bullet, there would not be much cat left. Try pellet.
5) because there have been attacks in a number of areas it makes you wonder whether people are driving round shooting cats.” - The chances of this are so slim. Randomly driving about on the off chance a cat is about.
This sadly happens up and down the UK........ Do you think it's the same person ? This cat was shot by a neighbour.
I hope Tigger makes a full recovery thou.
