What better time to celebrate snowboarding and seek out new boarding talent than the height of summer? If you are a winter sports fan who can overlook the timing oversight, the British Snow Tour heads to Chatham this month to host the Animal British Snowboard and Freeski Slopestyle Championships.
As well as displays from the professionals, scouting fresh talent and inspiring first-time boarders is an integral part of the event and 1,000 free lessons will be given away over the weekend.
Last year 14-year-old Cody Hierons and 18-year-old Callum Wilkin emerged and achieved a silver and bronze medal on home turf.
British Snow Tour, July 12 to July 13. Chatham Ski and Snowboard Centre.
