A JUDGE with the head of a sheep is just one of the surreal photos exhibited by acclaimed artist Charlotte Cory in her latest exhibition.
Christmas Cabinet of Curiosities, which opens at Greenwich Theatre tomorrow (December 1), brings an alternative vision of Victorian England to life through a series of pieces that use colour, humour and shock tactics to make you look and think again.
Her work gets as close as you can to painting using photography.
Individually, each picture is a visual short story and collectively the exhibition creates a vivid vision of an alternative parallel past.
Charlotte Cory’s Christmas Cabinet of Curiosities. The Greenwich Theatre gallery, Crooms Hill, Greenwich. December 1 to January 4. 020 8858 4447.
