WITH the summer now in full swing what better way to spend a balmy evening than a movie in the great outdoors?
The Screen on the Green has just launched its summer season, with open air cinema coming to picturesque settings in the capital and across the south east.
Venues this year include St Augustine’s Abbey in Canterbury, Walmer and Richborough Castles in Kent, Cobham Hall and Nurstead Court in north Kent and a series of nights in Gatton Park near Reigate, in Surrey.
Some screenings even have a celebrity introduction with double Oscar winner Mickey Rooney providing a video introduction to Breakfast At Tiffany’s’ and Steve Guttenberg representing 80s cinema.
The season starts on August 7.
