Competition is fierce in the West End, with scores of shows competing to bring in audience members.

And now two of theatreland’s most successful shows will finally find out who is best as Bromley Football Club’s charity football match returns for a decider between the casts of Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera.

Each side made up of West End stars stars has won two matches in recent years, making the contest at Hayes Lane on August 7 the decider.

Kick-off is at 3pm and the Les Mis side will be coached by England U21 manager Gareth Southgate while England Ladies supremo Mark Sampson is in the dugout for the Phantom side.

The West End performers and backstage crew will be joined by a host of other celebs including Hollyoaks’ Danny Mac and Ayden Callaghan, X Factor winner Sam Bailey, The Royle Family’s Ralph Little, TV presenter Matt Johnson and CBeebies host Andy Day.

BBC pundit Mark Clemmit will provide pitch-side commentary.

Prior to kick-off, a host of West End and Broadway stars will perform.

The charity football match has raised £80,000 for charity since it began and was set up after Les Mis wig mistress Melanie Oakley-Dow was diagnosed with cancer. This year, money raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support and road safety charity Brake.

As well as the match and concert, the fun on the day includes face painting, a bouncy castle, food and drink and stalls.

Tickets cost from £5 up to £35 for VIP treatment. Go to ticketsource.co.uk/lesmisvphantom5
