An unashamedly retro night out that proves clubbing isn’t just for youngsters is hosting its own boat party.

Pop-up 70s and 80s night Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet’s three-hour party departs from Greenwich pier at 3pm on Sunday (June 26) for an afternoon of disco, funk and soul music from DJs, dance routines, a best outfit competition and free retro sweets.

The nights were set up by Lewisham resident Nikki Spencer in 2010, who told us last year: “I noticed there were now events for parents like Baby Loves Disco and for secondary school kids like Underage but there was nothing for people like me in their 40s so I decided to start my own night where we could dance our socks off.

“I wasn't sure what response I would get but people absolutely loved the idea.”

For those who prefer dry land, the HSDY Summer Ball is at the Trafalgar Tavern on Saturday, July 16. Go haventstoppeddancingyet.co.uk.
