Irish music superstar Daniel O’Donnell will be among the big names in Greenwich to switch on Christmas lights next week.

Britain’s Got Talent act Stavros Flatley and The Voice in Ireland winner Brendan McCahey will also be in town for the big events at Royal Arsenal Riverside and Kidbrooke Village.

Daniel O’Donnell, who in 2012 became the first artist to have a different album in the British charts every year for 25 consecutive years, will be performing at Royal Arsenal Riverside on Saturday, November 28.

Daniel said: “Christmas is such a magical time of the year which allows people to get together and embrace the season of goodwill.

“I’m really looking forward to coming down to Royal Arsenal Riverside and performing a song or two for everyone in attendance and helping to kick off the start of the festive period – I’m sure it will be an evening to remember.”

Brendan McCahey, 2014 winner of The Voice in Ireland, will also be performing on stage along with performances from the Academy Performing Arts, who are based on the Royal Arsenal, and Nyna.

Performances start at 4.45pm and The Heritage Centre will open from 4pm with activities for children and a range of stalls.

Meanwhile BGT duo Stavros Flatley will be entertaining the masses at Kidbrooke Village where festivities kick-off at 5pm the day before, on Friday, November 27.

Bobby Valentino, musicians, bands and dancers from Thomas Tallis School, Celia Oceane, Tom Livingstone, Annie Afrilu will also be performing.

Berkeley Homes is providing the festivities in association with Timbertrain Music Ltd.
