In a stunt to highlight how much tax Brits pay in tax unnecessarily – 11 million of us pay tax on savings instead of using an ISA – Santander sent out a guy to give out fivers to passers-by near London Bridge.
And a lot of them turned him down. Just five per cent of people took the money.
