An aerial dance and circus school will be bringing hula hooping stilt walkers and fire breathing acrobats to the streets of Sydenham.

From March 2015, My Aerial Home School of Aerial Dance and Circus (MAH) will be taking up permanent residence in Bell Green Retail Park.

After seven years of renting local space, the school are expanding into a full-time facility for anyone who wants to learn an aerial skill.

Founder of the school Amanda Miles, said: "It has been a long and sometimes frustrating search, but we are really delighted to be bring our circus space to Sydenham which has a burgeoning art scene, I think we will fit in!

"We want to create a top class circus arts environment for not only local people to experience the thrill of learning circus arts but to also offer excellent facilities to the circus communities around the country and the world."

MAH students regularly perform in West End shows, travel the world on cruise ships, and are filmed for high-fashion shoots and television productions, as well as touring with the traditional circus.

Bellingham Councillor Alan Hall said: "I'm really pleased the Aerial Dance School is staying in the area and I am sure it will have a flying start in Bell Green."

The school will be offering weekly adult classes for fitness and fun as well as one-to-one lessons and a range of intensive courses.
