Brockley’s a pretty trendy place to be and there’s lots to see and do. We just picked five...
Grab a coffee
There are a few options for a nice hot drink in Brockley, but the pick of the bunch is probably the lauded Browns of Brockley, opposite the station. The name may make it sound like a shoe shop but everyone for miles around knows it’s the place to go.
Let’s go dancing
The Rivoli on Brockely Road is the only intact 1950s ballroom in London. It’s protected and has hosted some great gigs in recent years by the likes of Damon Albarn. Film crews also love it – just this year the new Marvel Avengers movie and the Tom Hardy Kray twins flick were in the area.
Get some fresh air
Brockley’s fairly urban but it does have its own nature reserve with an array of wildlife and there’s also Telegraph Hill Park for some serenity or great views.
A bit of culture
Brockley’s home to a very cool theatre, the Brockley Jack Studio. If there’s not a show on, there’s always the pub downstairs.
Liquid refreshment
Discerning drinkers can get their hands on something nice at either the London Beer Dispensary or next door’s Mr Lawrence Wine Merchant on Brockley Road.
