Things are set to get spooky in north Kent and south east London this Halloween.

Halloween Spooktacular family fun day at Queen’s House, Greenwich

Come in fancy dress from 11am to 4pm on Halloween for a day of spooky fun, ghostly activities and scary entertainment for all ages. There are prizes to be won for best costume.

It’s suitable for all ages and costs £12 per person, £40 for a family of two adults and two children and is free for under 3s.

Groombridge Place’s Halloween Spectacular and Enchanted Forest

It’s worth the trip down to Tunbridge Wells both day and night to check out the unique interactive theatre at Groombridge Place from October 26 to November 2.

There’s a staggering line up of terrifying and ghoulish attractions from devilish pirate dance workshops and sword fights before your eyes, a ghost boat, trick or treating with Little Red Riding Hood, a treasure hunt to find missing bones, amazing magic tricks, ghosts of a travelling circus, stories and unfortune telling.

Spooktacular Fun at Greenwich Market

From noon to 8pm on Halloween, the market will be home to scary stalls, creepy music, pumpkins and other Halloween fun.

From 10.30am to 3.30pm, kids can get kitted out for free at the children’s costume workshop. There will also be stories, facepainting, a scary dogshow (3.30pm) and fashion show (4pm) and prizes for the best dressed and best carved pumpkin.

Broadditch Farm, Southfleet

The north Kent farm loves Halloween and again will be completely transformed into Broadwitch.

By day, there will be family friendly fun like a Pumpkin Palace, a maze, haunted wood and twilight tours and pumpkin carving at accessible prices (roughly a quid for most activities).

By night, the farm hosts the incredible Hauntfest with half a dozen different scenarios like abandoned houses or hospitals filled with gore and terrifying actors for interactive thrill. Prices start at £9 and the Hauntfest runs from October 17 until November 2.

Join Katy, Tom and Jon as they bring their sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show to Deptford on Friday, October 31.

The trio will sing, slime and bust their way through a one-hour interactive tribute to the 80s classic movie with the help of cardboard cut-outs, props and original songs.

Spooky Ships at the Cutty Sark

Halloween Late: Death in the Archive at Queen’s House, Greenwich

Investigate tales of death, disease and destruction in the National Maritime Museum’s archive, take a candlelit tour of the Art and Science of Exploration exhibition, do some drawing or watch taxidermy demonstrations from 7pm to 9.30pm on Friday, October 31. Ghost Tours at the Royal Arsenal’s Firepower Museum, Woolwich

Take a family friendly but creepy tour of the museum and Royal Arsenal buildings at 6pm on either Friday, October 1, or Saturday, November 1. Follow it up with bangers and mash and juice or tea or coffee – all included – in a room inhabited by four ghosts.
