A big crowd was keen to see the wonderful Wizard of Oz on Chislehurst Common at the weekend, despite the wicked weather.

More than 600 people – many in fancy dress – turned out for the third year of open air cinema to raise money for the Trustees of Chislehurst Commons.

Tea lights, lanterns, bunting, live music from a jazz trio and even a makeshift yellow brick road greeted guests, while Higgs Butchers provided barbecue food.

Younger children took part in themed crafts supervised by volunteers from the sixth form at Coopers College.
