NAME: Wayne Jacobs

WHERE ARE YOU FROM: Erith, Kent

WHEN AND HOW DID YOU GET STARTED: I started writing songs about two years ago. I now have 22 songs, seven of which have be produced in Nashville Tennessee USA. My big Ben's Beat demo was produced by myself and a musical director call Nick Downs of Hulviz Amateur Musical Society.

INFLUENCES: Bob Dylan, Ralph Mctell, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison & Don Mclean. These are just a few.

AMBITIONS: My ambition like most singer songwriters would be to be signed by a major record label or publisher here, or in the USA. My dream would be for my Big Ben’s Beat song to be the official London Olympic Games song for 2012 and to sing my song for all the MP'S at the Houses of Parliament. My carol God's Christmas Gift was performed by myself at the Tower of London with a magnificent choir singing the chorus for Christmas 2008 - how cool was that.

GIGS COMING UP: Talent Contest North Heath Social Club 8 Mill Road Erith Kent DA8 1HN. I will be returning there for Semi Finals on 6th November 2009.

Open Mic UK Princes Hall Theatre in Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 1NX. I will be returning there on the 8th November 2009 for the Regional Finals, one step away from the final in Portsmouth.

NEC Club New Eltham London. I will be returning there on 1st Deccember 2009 for the Semi Finals.
