A BAND with members from Greenwich which reformed to enter a competition to open Hard Rock Calling edged closer to their dream when they made the contest's final three last week.
Although The Smiths meets Human League four-piece, Daniel Takes the Train, were
unsigned during their 1980s heyday, they did crash the 1988 Brit Awards and feature in Just 17.
The reunion was inspired by Virgin Radio's Christian O'Connell's One Last Dream competition, which called for split bands to find long-lost members and unite for the chance to perform at the Hyde Park concert in front of 40,000 people.
Having made it to the final, Daniel Takes the Train must prove their credentials via a number of tasks, including trashing a mock hotel room, a photoshoot, writing a jingle and an interview with Q magazine.
