Passionate estate agency sponsors community festival for second year running
An estate agency has been announced as the headline sponsor for Crystal Palace Overground Festival for the second year running.
Acorn Crystal Palace, the area’s leading independent estate agency, is sponsoring the free four-day music festival which is in its sixth year.
Taking place around the Crystal Palace Triangle between June 13 and June 16, the event showcases the best local live music, poetry, theatre, comedy, film, food and fashion.
James Clow, director of Acorn Crystal Palace, said: “We are delighted to be the headline sponsor of this year’s Crystal Palace Overground Festival.
“The festival brings residents and local business together.
“It is one of the region’s most eagerly anticipated events.
As the director of a business working within Crystal Palace, I am very keen to offer support and time back into such a great community event which has a positive impact on the area.
“Being the leading agent in Crystal Palace and with the support of the Acorn Group as a whole, we believe we can help add value and raise awareness for the event through our entire network."
Local bars will host stalls, gigs and DJs, and there will be shopping and music in the local markets, Church Road and Haynes Lane, with an art market in Victory Place.
There will be an array of gourmet food and drink stalls and bands playing everything from soul, funk, ska and reggae to indie pop on the Antenna music stage in Westow Park.
London-born writer and musician Jim Bob, best known as the singer of indie band Carter USM will officially welcome visitors to the festival on June 16 at 11am.
