If you’ve been to the year 3000, you’ll already know this – Busted are back together.

That’s right, James and Matt have dropped the Mc (for now) and persuaded Charlie Simpson to get back on board for their first tour in 12 years, and it’s coming to Greenwich.

The three-piece are also working on new music for the first time since 2004.

Charlie, for years the barrier to a full reunion, said: “A year ago James and I got together and just started hanging out … and it felt really different, somehow, to how it had ten years ago. And the idea crept into my head after all that time apart: what would Busted look like today?”

Matt Willis, who had been touring and recording with Busted’s James Bourne and the McFly boys, said: “For me, there’s a huge sense of unfinished business. I always thought in my heart we’d do Busted again, but that it was just a matter of when and how.”

The band, who sold five million records, play The O2 in Greenwich on Saturday, May 28. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday (November 13). Go to livenation.co.uk
