Blues fans will be in ecstasy as a double bill of acclaimed guitarists play in Deptford this month.
Skip ‘Little Axe’ McDonald and King Size Slim will perform at The Albany on Saturday, November 21.
Having made his name in the legendary Sugarhill Records house band, Little Axe has gone on to perform on some of the most influential rap classics and alongside luminaries such as Grandmaster Flash, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Robert Plant and James Brown. These days he explores the blues, which were always at the heart of his sound.
King Size Slim meanwhile his known for his resonator guitar and powerful and direct vocal delivery, which earned him the Best Emerging Artist prize at the 2014 British Blues Awards.
