A Gravesend woman was "jumping up and down all day" when her cake pops were presented to One Direction on a top US chat show.

Bianca Benn is the proprietor of Cake Pop Princess, based off Echo Square, Gravesend.

Last week she was contacted by The Late Late Show with James Corden, on which the British boy band were making an appearance.

She was asked if she could produce five cake pops - of the band's four members and James Corden - to which she swiftly agreed.

She said: "They dropped me an e-mail out of the blue on Monday.

"I thought 'what an honour' - I was absolutely stunned to be asked.

"They asked me: 'How fast can you turn them around?' so I pulled an all-nighter and they went out with Fed Ex on Tuesday. The show aired on Friday.

"I was quite panicked. It was absolutely mind-blowing to get the e-mail."

During the show Harry Styles threw his cake pop behind him - during a discussion about his diet - which Ms Benn described as "quite horrifying".

But she added: "It's been fantastic - I have just been jumping up and down all day."
