A WILMINGTON social club held a games night to celebrate the opening of its new storeroom.

Leyton Cross social club, in Tredegar Road, was granted £10,000 by the Lottery Awards For All Fund and this was matched by the club to provide a new room to store equipment.

More than 100 people attended the games evening, which involved darts, bowls, skittles and golf.

The club is open to members and their guests every Friday.

A Rod Stewart tribute act will take place on May 12 and a family day is planned for the Queens Diamond Jubilee on June 2.
