AN arts venue is still raising money to renovate its recital room and provide a new passenger lift.
Blackheath Halls needs to raise a further £25,000 for the £400,000 project, already partly funded by the Landfill Communities Grant Scheme, as well as by various trusts and foundations.
A final phase of fundraising was launched with a concert by the Junior Trinity jazz quintet, part of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Development officer Helma Zebregs said: "We still need to raise around £25,000, and I would be delighted to hear from anyone willing to support the halls, no matter how great or modest their contribution might be.
“We want the whole community to share in making this project a big success."
