Thousands of festival goers made the tenth LeeFest one to remember last week.

South London R&B and soul singer Lianne La Havas brought the festival to a close on Saturday night after three days of music and fun on Kentish farmland.

LeeFest began in 2006 as a party in the back garden of Beckenham teenager Lee Denny while his parents were on holiday and blossomed into a full-scale music festival known for giving up-and-coming acts a break before they hit the big time.

Artists to have played previous LeeFests before they were famous include Years and Years, Bastille, London Grammar and Jack Garratt.

After a fallow year in 2015, LeeFest moved out to a new location near Edenbridge with an expanded Neverland-themed festival which also featured artists including two-time Mercury nominee, indie rockers We Are Scientists and Croydon rapper Loyle Carner.

At the end of the festival, Lee Denny told us: “What an amazing three days we had at The Neverland!

“Closing out the Main Stage with Lianne La Havas really summed up a magical weekend full of happy campers and plenty of unmissable moments with Pirates, Mermaids and Lost Boys all joining in for the fun.

“Definitely our favourite LeeFest so far, thank you to all who came along to enjoy it with us and roll on 2017!”
