Greenwich will host Europe’s biggest free blues festival next month, with more than thirty free performances.

The Prudential BluesFest, which takes over the Greenwich venue on November 7 and 8, features a long list of free daytime performances alongside its ticketed events.

The likes of Van Morrison and Tom Jones, Dave Matthews Band, Matt Schofield and Tedeschi Trucks Band, will perform headline shows whil venues around the dome will host free shows.

Artists set to perform in the day time include Dr Feelgood, Chris Farlowe, Bernie Marsden, Georgie Fame and Marcus Bonfanti.

Festival Director Leo Green said: “It’s thanks to our new partnership with Prudential that we’ve not only been able to come up with such a broad, far-reaching daytime programme for this year’s event, but that for the first time we’re also in a position to offer up tickets to all of these shows for nothing.

“We’re expecting tens of thousands of music fans on site across the weekend bringing London one of the most exciting blues and roots festivals in the world.”
