Welsh singing superstar Tom Jones has been given an extra night at Greenwich Music Time in July ‘due to phenomenal demand’.

Sir Tom has been given an additional night at the series which will transform the Old Royal Naval College into an open-air riverside concert venue.

He joins a line-up which include flamenco superstars Gipsy Kings on July 23, Kinks frontman Ray Davies on July 24 and Grammy winning singer/guitarist on July 25.

Sir Tom will perform on July 26 and 27.

Peter Taylor of GMT organizer Cuffe and Taylor said: “Perhaps unsurprisingly we’ve had to put an additional date on sale to cope with the overwhelming demand for tickets to see Sir Tom performing against the beautiful backdrop of the Old Royal Naval College this summer.

"The enthusiasm and excitement shown by the public is of course testament to the enduring popularity of one of the UK’s finest ever performers but we hope it is also an indication of the appeal of our event, which in only two years has built a reputation as one of the highlights of the live music calendar."
