A Catford singer is hoping to smash the stereotypes surrounding young black men with the release of his new EP.
Nebenzial McLean, who goes by the stage name Ace Motif, launched his Good Love EP with a party in Balham earlier this month.
The 22-year-old, who is at university studying English literature with creative writing and is part of the Lewisham Pupil Ambassadors project at Prendergast Ladywell School, has been singing for 11 years and writes his own material.
He said: “I want to break the stereotype of how we are perceived as young black men and to let people know that these are the creative things that we get involved in.”
