They’re a band made to rock arenas and that’s just what U2 will do when they come to Greenwich next October.

Bono and the boys will play four dates at the O2 between October 25 and 30 in support of their Songs of Innocence album which has been described as ‘a career high’ by Mojo and album of the year by Rolling Stone.

It will be the first time in a decade that the band have played indoor arenas and they will play 19 cities.

The tour is called Innocence and Experience and the front man plans to play around with the concept.

He said: “We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two and have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience. More to be revealed.”

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Monday (December 8), with an exclusive presale for U2 Fan Club subscribers is underway.
