It will be British Summer Time for Heroes at Hyde Park in July as The Libertines are back.
Pete, Carl, John and Gary will return to headline their largest ever UK show at Hyde Park’s British Summer Time festival on July 5.
The Libertines burst onto the scene in the early noughties with two albums which cemented their place as one of the most influential bands of their generation but were involved in a messy split soon after.
The Boys in the Band will top the bill on a day for indie-lovers that also includes The Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park, The Enemy, The View, Reverend and the Makers, The Rifles and The Twang among others.
Tickets go on pre-sale on April 28 at barclaycardunwind.com and general release on May 2 and cost from £55.
Other headliners already announced for British Summer Time at Hyde Park, from July 4 to 13, are Black Sabbath (July 4), McBusted (July 6), Neil Young (July 12) and Tom Jones (July 13) and there are more to be announced.
