A SOUTH London model-turned-DJ and actress has teamed up with the one and only Snoop Dogg for her new single.

Charlotte Devaney releases her second single Flip It on October 20 with launch parties in central London at Dstrkt on October 22 and Club 55 on November 1.

The madcap video to the song has had over 190,000 views on Youtube.

Charlotte told Vibe: “I produced a very tongue-in-cheek single called Nice about a year and a half ago  which had a hilarious video with the girls dressed up as Borat.

“It went viral and someone that worked with Snoop saw it and offered me to work with him.

“He sent the vocals over but I have met him. He’s really cool.”

The song has been snapped up by labels around the world and Charlotte, who began DJing around six years ago, hope it will be a building block for her.

She said: “I’m just building at the moment and I’m trying to do something different – one I’m a female, two I’m producing artists.

“I just want to make people smile by making good music and videos that are a little bit out there and a little bit different.”

The 26-year-old is also a keen actress, whose film credits include a memorable cameo as a transvestite in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.

She said: “Originally that were looking for a transvestite but they couldn’t find one that could act or look right so they went for a woman.

“It was a great experience. It was amazing working with those huge a-list actors.

“Simon Pegg was brilliant. He was a real laugh. I spent about five days on set with him. He was really nice and really funny.”

And Charlotte is a proud south Londoner, having lived in Streatham for the past seven years.

She said: “I’m a south London girl. I like it – it’s really green and there are loads of parks. I’ve got three different commons all walking distance from me.

“It is quiet and people are nice. Some people give it a bit of a bad rep but it’s alright.”
