DARTFORD is gearing up for a gig by punk legends the Buzzcocks.

The Manchester band are playing the Mick Jagger Centre on Friday (December 14) with support from Essex punk rock outfit the Dead Formats.

With classics like ‘Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)’ in their arsenal, the Buzzcocks have been thrilling audiences for more than 30 years.

Their music blends high-octane guitar, bass and drum power with witty personal statements of love won and lost.

The band have put out eight studio albums, more than 20 singles and EPs and a variety of compilations down the years, picking up a Mojo magazine Inspiration Award in 2006.

Mick Jagger Centre manager Nicola Bowden said:"An iconic punk band on their third visit to the Mick Jagger Centre playing back to back hits; what more could you want just before Christmas?"
