A PLAY written for and inspired by Bromley is set to transfer to the West End. Ali Taylor's Overspill was one of this year's Metamorphosis playwrighting competition's winning entries and premiered at The Churchill this June.
Taylor - who finds the friction between gritty London and softer suburbia fascinating - said his upbringing in Bracknell and Bromley town centre informed the play which follows three young men on a boys' night out, until a bomb explodes.
ä ä Overspill at the Soho Theatre, London. Oct 14 to Nov 1. Box office 020 7478 0100.
