To celebrate completing their first album, Lewisham rockers Honeycube are holding a launch party at their favourite south London venue.
Keeping it all local, the self-titled and self-financed scuzzy indie rock record was completed at Orange and Blue studios, Catford, and the band's regular live haunt, The Fox and Firkin, Lewisham, will host the launch event.
"To have the album done is an amazing relief and having an album is something you will always have for the rest of your life, a massive achievement," said Honeycube guitarist Nick Capocci.
"It took us a while to complete. It was very important for the band being a self financed project. At times it got demanding, but now we are really looking forward to having the party.
"The Fox is like home to us we have been playing there for years and have really good friends there and the crowd is great, it didn't seem right having the launch party anywhere else."
Honeycube album launch, Fox and Firkin, Lewisham High Street. September 13, 8pm.
