To view the incredible finds unearthed by Kent County Council's archaeologists and enjoy lots of history and dig-related activities, get along to Archaeology in the Park this weekend.

The event ties in with a community dig at Randal Manor House, which the KCC team will be working on until July 27. So far the manor's kitchen, a bake house, storerooms and the edge of a main hall have been uncovered.

A medieval camp will be on site all weekend, there will be a mini-dig with real finds, crafts workshops such as design a shield and archery and combat displays on Sunday.

Archaeology in the Park, July 19 and July 20, Shorne Wood Country Park. Free.
