Takeaway: Something Fishy, Lewisham

Something Fishy, 117-119 Lewisham High Street, SE13 6AT
THERE'S Something Fishy going on in Lewisham and it's definitely worth investigating.
Determined to catch a quick tasty treat for lunch, my colleague and I headed to Something Fishy, in Lewisham High Street, after it was recommended by a friend.
The large two-roomed cafe was bustling with customers when we arrived so we quickly took our place in the ever-growing queue.
The line went down at a rapid rate as the staff worked hard to quickly reel in the orders. The only sour point was a grumpy staff member who had forgotten her smile.
I opted for a battered sausage and small chips while my friend went for a small cod and chips with mushy peas.
The chips were the best I've ever tasted - fluffy and golden - and despite ordering a 'small', the portion size was more than generous.
But if you like a lot of salt and vinegar be sure to put it on yourself as a small sprinkle by the staff was not enough for us.
The sausage and small cod, which was actually quite large, were battered to perfection and are both highly recommended.
And the mushy peas were also tasty with a good texture.
The pie, mash and liqour belonging to the woman in front of us in the queue made our mouths water so we will definitely be returning to try it out.
Prices are very reasonable with our mountain of food totalling £7.65.
