Hi-de-Hi fun for all the family at Kent Life's retro summer camp

Hi-de-Hi fun for all the family at Kent Life's retro summer camp Hi-de-Hi fun for all the family at Kent Life's retro summer camp

Kent Life is rolling back the years this summer to the golden era of the 1950s holiday camp.

From July 21 to September 3, the attraction near Maidstone is adding a host of activities to a fun-packed programme, transporting visitors back to an age when holiday camps were the highlight of every summer.

Staff will get into the retro spirit in Hi-de-Hi style by wearing special holiday camp uniforms.

There will be a play beach, grand tug-of-war competitions and sports day races, along with a bouncy castle and water zorbing.

Heritage and family fun sit side by side at Kent Life.

Kids go wild in the outdoor adventure play area or soft indoor play barn, as well as enjoy donkey rides, a pottery studio, junior electric quad bikes, tractor rides, dressing up and stilt walking.

There are plenty of animals to see and young visitors can even snuggle up to the smaller farmyard friends in Cuddle Corner.

Grown-ups will love the Vintage Village, where they’ll find a range of period dressed historic buildings.

Other special events coming up include the annual Hops ‘n’ Harvest Festival on September 8 and 9, featuring hop picking, beer and cider and all to a soundtrack of live music.

Kent Life is open every day from 10am to 5pm weekdays and 10am to 6pm weekends and school holidays.

Usual admission is £8.95 for adults, £7.75 for seniors, and £6.50 for children.

Children under three-years-old go free.
