DJ Talent hopes to sing his Olympic track in the closing ceremony
Britain’s favourite gold plated DJ has recorded a track to mark the Olympics – and hopes to perform it during the closing ceremony.
DJ Talent, aka Anthony Ghosh, has penned a patriotic track to “give something back” and celebrate British competitors in the Games.
The musician, from Beckenham, told News Shopper his song London Olympics 2012 is going to be a major club record this summer across clubs in Ibiza and Ayia Napa.
He said: “I think the Olympics coming to London is massive.
“It will go down in history – doing an Olympic song is something big.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to celebrate a national occasion.
“I’m thinking of writing a Wimbledon song for next year too – these are big moments in history.”
Anthony, who rose to fame on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, now travels the world performing.
He added: “Britain’s Got Talent changed my life in a massive way.
“I’m a worldwide known DJ now.
“I think it’s good to give something back.”
Anthony is passionately routing for our athletes in the Games.
“These people are the fastest runners in the world.” He continued.
“I think it’s great athletes are rewarded and get medals for representing the country.
“Getting a gold medal is an amazing achievement.
“I go to the gym and do a bit of swimming but I don’t fancy running a marathon.
“I’m nowhere fit enough for the Olympics so I’m doing this song instead.”
The 33-year-old plans to visit Greenwich during the Games and experience the Olympic atmosphere.
He said: “One of the verses goes ‘London I want to see you dance, I want to see you cheer.’
“Singing in the Olympic closing ceremony would be my major dream.”
