Carnival fever will return to south east London next week as the streets burst into life once again at Woolwich Carnival.

Saturday, September 17, will be a day of music, dancing, brightly coloured costumes and community stalls around town celebrating Woolwich and its different cultures and communities under the theme Our Destination.

Organised by the volunteers at Woolwich Carnival Association, it will see a parade travelling from the Royal Arsenal from 1.45pm and arriving at General Gordon Square at around 2.30pm with entertainment continuing on the main stage until 6pm.

Artists from across south east London will perform, including a samba band, dance ensembles, bands and singers while stall holders nearby offer food and crafts.
