Chelsea football hero Gianfranco Zola has said thank you to the people of Bromley as his gelateria in the town celebrates its first birthday.
Unico opened in the High Street in August last year and sells authentic Italian gelato, coffees, ice cream cakes and ‘bubble’ sandwiches.
The 50-year-old former footballer, who scored 59 goals in 229 appearances for Chelsea between 1996 and 2003, brought in his ex-Blues team mates Dennis Wise, Roberto Di Matteo and Andriy Shevchenko for his shop’s glamourous opening. Now he has recorded a video to thank all of its customers.
He said: “It has been a fantastic year. You have been coming a lot and that is very much appreciated. My message is just to say thank you to all of you.”
From 5pm to 8pm today (Monday, August 22), Unico will have offers on their gelato tubs and an aperitivo evening to celebrate.
