A new French restaurant has opened in Chislehurst this week.
Oriel promises to bring the food of Paris to the High Street, having served up its first dinners yesterday (Wednesday, June 29).
Executive chef Martin Caws spent a year working in some of the French capital’s finest restaurants to draw up a menu that takes traditional recipes and gives them a contemporary twist, making them healthier and lighter.
Dishes include egg meurette, confit lamb shank, a range of steaks and desserts such as warm chocolate moelleux.
Famed Parisian designer Richard Lafond has created a one-of-a-kind interior with retro and vintage furniture sitting alongside antiques, mirrors, brass and copper.
The restaurant will seat 130 and its opening has created 30 new jobs.
