The outdoor cinema is returning to Central Park this summer, with showings of Disney’s Lion King, The Italian Job, and Saturday Night Fever.

Tickets are free for Dartford residents, but need to be booked in advance for the event – which is organised by the borough council.

Local people are invited to bring a blanket and a picnic, and settle down to watch of one of three Wednesday night films in the open air.

Council leader Jeremy Kite said: “The Outdoor Cinema has proved to be a huge success and we’re grateful for suggestions for this year’s movies.

“The films have been chosen to appeal to everyone and we look forward to seeing you there.”

Watch family favourite The Lion King on August 17, 60s classic the Italian Job on August 24, or Saturday Night Fever on August 31.

Tickets are available from July 12 here.
