Anne Reid MBE returned to Bromley, the town where she made her professional acting debut, to delight a packed house at the Bromley Little Theatre.
The BAFTA nominated actress and former Coronation Street star revealed she got her start on the stage at New Theatre, Bromley, as a ‘dream girl’ in a production of The Seven Year Itch, with Shelia Hancock, in around 1956.
Reid is now pursuing her first love by writing and starring in her own cabaret muscial in London, and will be taking the show to New York next month.
Reid was interviewed onstage at the BLT as part of gala charity evening in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, ahead of her upcoming performances at Crazy Coqs, Piccadilly from October 27 to 31.
