Music, a farmers’ market and Tall Ships will transform Royal Arsenal Riverside later this month at its first ever Summer Festival.

At the festival on Saturday, August 29, crowds will have the chance to board historic tall ships (Free but ticketed – go to royalgreenwich.gov.uk) from 9am to noon, browse the farmers’ market, vintage cars and live music in Artillery Square from 4pm to 9.40pm.

A firework display will top off the event on the riverfront at 10pm.

Headline act, Na Fianna, who recently hit the number one spot in the pre-sale album charts in Ireland, said: “We are giving our new No 1 album unearthed its debut UK performance.”

Among the other acts performing will be X-Factor semi-finalist, Mary Byrne.

Throughout the day, Hop Stuff Brewery – which brews at Royal Arsenal Riverside - will be on hand to offer visitors some cool beverages, while concession stands will sell hot food.

Karl Whiteman, Divisional Managing Director for Berkeley Homes East said: “The Summer Festival has been designed to bring the community of Greenwich together in a location that we want people to be proud of.”

The Royal Arsenal Riverside Summer Festival, organised by Berkley Homes and Greenwich Council, is on Saturday, August 29.
