Cream everywhere in the kitchen, the hospitality manager getting in a pickle on the technical desk and the theatre director cleaning the loos – it’s all gone pear shaped at the Orchard Theatre.
But all is not what it seems, the team at the theatre in Home Gardens, Dartford, swapped jobs for the day to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The result was chaos.
Head chef Laszlo Csorba switched roles with ticket office manager Jan Kimber
Olivier Award winners Mischief Theatre are bringing their acclaimed show Peter Pan Goes Wrong to the theatre from June 1 to 6. When author JM Barrie died, he left the rights to Peter Pan to the children’s hospital, and the staff at the Orchard decided to do a little extra to raise money for the good cause.
This included marketing manager Beth Dewhurst working on the stage door and head chef Laszlo Csorba switching roles with ticket office manager Jan Kimber.
Theatre director Chris Glover assumed cleaning duties and hospitality manager Anna Marie Lambert attempting to work out how to use the technical desk.
Peter Pan Goes Wrong is at The Orchard Theatre from June 1 to 6. Go to orchardtheatre.co.uk
