It is a question many have asked themselves - what would you do in a zombie apocalypse?

For one Bromley lad the moment we have all secretly planned for has finally come.

Fear not, the world is not actually ending.

Kavon Everett, 20, got to test his mettle after he was picked for a new BBC Three reality game show 'I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse'.

Mr Everett, who lives just off Bromley Road, is one of 10 people picked to fight for survival in a world six months in to a zombie outbreak.

The events and theatre apprentice said: "I wanted to do this because I thought it would be great fun and a big game.

"I'm a child at heart, and it was so much better than playing the play station!"

Though he added he was a fan of taking out the zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops, as well as watching Zombieland and Will Smith's I Am Legend.

The former Forest Hill pupil was excited after learning he was in the final line-up, after beating off 1,878 applicants.

Also a part-time model, he reckons he was picked for his sense of humour, describing himself as "cheeky funny".

He added: “I enjoyed it all. I've learnt that there’s always room for growth and knowledge.

"I’m looking forward to seeing some of the deaths on screen!"

With the first episode airing last Sunday (February 15) he shocked some his friends with his appearance.

He said: “My friends and family all thought it was really funny, the ones I told.

“I surprised the rest a few days before and on the night of the show.”

MORE TOP STORIES The closest to a real near-death experience he ever had was climbing La Soufriere Volcano in St. Vincent when he was 13.

But he added: “I nearly get run over every day though. I need to be more vigilant.”

Sadly the show does not seem to have had a lasting effect, as he admitted: “If the world was about to end I would probably meditate and fall asleep.

“I think I could survive a real zombie apocalypse but I would become a zombie. It's less stressful!”

Running for eight weeks every Sunday night at 10pm, the last one standing will enjoy a two week holiday in the sun.
