Acclaimed blues artists will light up Greenwich this autumn as BluesFest prepares to move from the Royal Albert Hall to The O2.

Last year, 30,000 music fans filled the prestigious hall for a six day celebration of blues, jazz, roots and soul.

For its fifth year, BluesFest is switching to the Greenwich arena where there will be concerts across IndigO2, Brooklyn Bowl and the main arena from November 6 to 8.

The first headliner announced is the hugely popular Dave Matthews Band.

Grammy winners Tedeschi Trucks Band and Jo Harman are already on the bill.

Festival Director Leo Green said: “This move is a clear statement of ambition from all involved in BluesFest. Having grown exponentially over the last four years, it became clear that it was time to find a new and bigger home to cater to the growing demand for BluesFest. We look forward to bringing some fantastic artists to The O2 in London this autumn and for years to come."

Tickets go on sale on Friday (February 13) at livenation.co.uk and axs.com
